Taos, NM Conditions January 2013

Hey guys, new to the subreddit but not new to snowboarding. Me and a friend of mine, both from Jersey, are flying out January 5th to Taos, NM. Although I've been dying to go back to Whistler, we came into a free week at our timeshare somewhere in the US and the terrain seems amazing out at Taos.

However, like anyone planning a ski trip I am starting to trip over snow conditions. Right now they haven't gotten much, but doing some research they usually get plenty of snow. Any locals or educated riders have any light to shed on this subject?
