Got rejected the weird way

So, two months ago a girl wrote me on OKCupid and we really came along well. We texted 24/7 several weeks, but due to work and distance it took over a month till we finally met. We had a great date and I told her afterwards I am really excited about her. She told me she didn't feel the same, but she had fun and would love to meet me again. We texted and phoned again much, often her initiating it.

Two days before I wanted to go to her she wrote this is all going too fast, she wants to reduce the contact a bit, and of course I accepted it. I didn't want to contact her unless she writes me. Which she did. Our conversations went most of the time from small talk to a deep discussion, it just happened somehow.

Yesterday would have been our second date, which we canceled and I wanted to relax a little. I was fine with taking it slowly. In the evening she wrote if I wanted to skype, so I got online. We texted for four hours and it was one of our nicest conversations, it was really funny. We told each other some sexy facts and she came out that she had sex on four continents. I said more jokingly I DON'T EVEN WANNA KNOW THAT, and she got a little insecure. I said maybe guys generally don't want to know what girls did before them. This was just a single line in an otherwise awesome conversation of some thousand lines. We said goodnight in a really good mood, so I thought.

This morning I get a message on facebook that she got creeped out by that line and she interpreted as "Men don't want to know what THEIR WIFE did before them". German language is tricky and there is only one word for woman and wife, so it was a misunderstanding maybe. I read the conversation and she even didn't cite it right and the chance is little she misunderstood how i meant it.

Anyway, after her message she blocked me on facebook, skype and whatsapp. I was devastated, because our last goodbye was in a good mood and we know each other for two months now. Let me get this straight: I know she is not entitled to keep contact in any way and I sure won't go after her. But I really wonder what happened here? I am clueless and really sad. Any ideas?
