Have you ever wondered why none of the professionals ever buy spell vamp from start?(Katarina)

In every normal game a katarina buys spell vamp, but why aren't any of the professionals buying spell vamp? I really don't see why you wouldn't buy spell vamp from start/later.. Does anyone have a clue?
