Hey reddit, I'm the head of a new indie team named "Red Beard Productions"
I am here to try to get some input on the ideas of our first game.
Our first (and hopefully not last) game titled Rust will introduce concepts that no game developers today dare attempt. We will work towards removing unnecessary censorship that developers use to play things safe and add a very deep philosophical undercurrent to the gameplay.
I believe that game developers have become weak in their game ideas. They worry too much about making money and applying their games to everybody. They tone down elements of games that could really shine through if they had some balls and while they manage to make beautiful and intricate games that many people love, they displease everyone by trying to please them all.
I plan to try to show people another way of doing things. Similar to the GTA series, we will add what we see fit, and if somebody complains, they don't have to play our game. We still will, of course, listen to opinions about the game development and that's the purpose of this post.
I have a survey for all of you. This survey is designed to show my team the public's opinion on some concepts we are discussing for the game. We could not include as much information as we originally wanted on the survey (we could not get the professional surveys), so if you want to give more input or just have some questions, go ahead and sent me an orange-red.
