Mountain Lion Install SSD problems, please help.

So this has been a fiasco of a couple of days with my mac mini 6,2. I added a second hard drive to it, a samsung 830 SSD. When i try and load ML onto it from the internet recovery tool (Command+R at bootup) it downloads everything. When it goes to reboot, i get extremely quick flashes of the prohibitory sign, an apple logo, and the folder with the question mark in it. If i press command+option a couple of time i can get it to boot into the installer, but then after a few minutes, it says the OS could not install on the disk. Help? I tried breaking the partition table using sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/diskn bs=512 count=1, and it still didn't work. I'm stuck from here, it loads onto the HDD in there just fine. Help? I also tried loading the OS onto the HDD and then using CCC to clone the drive over to the SSD and that did not work either. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Edit im starting to think the SSD may have failed, but is there any way to check. It can be read and written to when i boot to the HDD and then move a file and such, it just refuses to expand the install. If it has failed, i'm going to return it to amazon and get a new one.

EDIT 2 The SSD was DOA, im returning it to Amazon tonight and having them send out a crucial m4.
