I was forced to goto church and then I noticed something...

Many times churches will play videos throughout the service. These videos often contain inspiration text and biblical quotes. Today I noticed something interesting about what those quotes are placed over. Almost all of these videos show scenes of mountain tops, flowers blooming, fresh water streams, etc.. These scenes cause you to have a feeling of insight and beauty. The problem is that most religious people will associate this feeling with a connection to god. When, in reality, it is only just a natural reaction when one sees the beauty in the world. This is a tactic used by churches to make people feel more connected to god and the church. The worst thing is that many play these videos during the offering.. That is my rant about church. Thank you for taking the time to read

Tl;dr: churches exploit scenes of nature to cause people to have a false feeling of connection with god/the church
