Finally a bra that fits, but boy is it uncomfortable

I recently bought some actual bras that fit. The gore sits flat. The cups are full but not overflowing. The band doesn't stretch too far in the back(1-2 inches). The straps don't dig in and seem generally useless.

HOWEVER, this is my first time in many years using wired bras. They fit great in the store, fairly comfortable. Now that I've been wearing them for hours at a time, I HATE IT. It feels like the wire is pressing into my ribs right under the breast.

I have a slight indentation/redness, but no bruising or anything. I just feels like the wire isn't "sitting" properly or is maybe too tight? But the band fits greats, so I'm not inclined to think it is because the band is too tight.

I'm currently in a 34DD. I tried on 34D and my boobs were spilling out. The 36D, the band was way too loose.

Wire bras have always been uncomfortable for me, but I chalked it up to the wrong size.
