BetaPunch.com - An easy way to get cash reviewing websites...Now with referrals!
BetaPunch is a website that allows people with websites to obtain user feedback for their sites in the form of a video. When you go to BetaPunch for the first time, signing up is as easy as entering your e-mail address (it's at the bottom of this page).
After you signup as a tester, you see your dashboard. The top shows the websites you've reviewed, as well as the scores you've received. Your current cash total is on the right, along with cash out instructions.
A listing of websites currently in the queue shows up at the bottom of your dashboard. The ones with the recorder enabled are at the top, the ones with the recorder disabled are at the bottom. You click "view listing" on an enabled one, ensure that you understand the instructions, and click record.
You are given 15 minutes to perform all of the required tasks, and Ross (the owner of BetaPunch) requests that videos be 8-10 minutes long, minimum, which is not hard. The screen recorder is easy to use, but there is one word of warning: do NOT cancel your recording, or discard it hoping to start again. The recorder will not start back up. You must wait until your reservation for that task is up (~40 minutes) and click the record button again. Because there is sometimes competition for these reviews, you don't want to lose your slot. (I've mentioned this issue to Ross, and I'm not sure if he plans to fix it. He's definitely aware of it. It's bitten me twice.)
Be sure to notice that you have a pause button on the recorder, should you need it.
When you're done, you click the DONE button on your recorder and wait for the pop-up. This can take a few minutes, so don't worry about losing your recording. You can watch it at that point, add a text comment, and then send it. It processes for a few minutes, and then spends a couple minutes uploading. And you're done!
The requester gives feedback on a scale of 1 to 5, and each point is a dollar for you. It takes $15 to cash out.
Cashing out is a piece of cake. You click "cash out" and you'll immediately get an e-mail asking for a confirmation of your PayPal address. Confirm it, and Ross is incredibly quick to send payments. I have done 17 reviews this month for a total of $73 (I got a couple 3s and a couple 4s, but most are 5s). There have been a couple nights where I've knocked out 3 reviews.
All in all, this is a very easy and incredibly fun way to make some good cash. Here's the non-ref link, and here's my referral link. I hope that if you've found this informative, you use my referral. For everyone signed up under you, you get $1 any time they do a review. The referral program launched just today.
A couple tips for good reviews:
-Spend a minute or two on the homepage of a site, and tell what is and isn't good about it. Would you use this site just based on the homepage? Is it informative?
-Talk the whole time. What's good? What's bad? What's confusing?
-Be critical. People get nothing from these reviews if you just say they're great for 10 minutes.
I'll be happy to answer any questions you might have about this great site. Thanks for reading!
