Uptick in eBay sales, paypal account limited ... am I screwed?
A military gear manufacturer in my home town recently opened an outlet store for their surplus. The surplus was selling for 5-10x what I could buy it for so I turned 21.00 investment into just over 6 grand in a month. Yesterday, Paypal limited my account and is asking for a TON of info. I set them my ID, Passport, images of 2 CC w/ my name on them, plus a shot of 3x college diplomas w/ name. Then, I sent them scans of every receipt where I purchased the items from the outlet, plus receipts totaling nearly 1000.00 from the postoffice, and images of Delivery Conf slips and Customs forms. All showing my name, tracking numbers and the XXXXXXXXXXXX---- where ---- is the last 4 digits of my Paypal Debit card. I also ensured that every eBay auction had it's tracking information added. Lastly, and frankly appalled, but I gave them scans of my SS card and the front page of my most recent bank statement.
Everything on the account is legit, I haven't sold anything I didn't have in my possession. I even included a picture of all my current stock and included my ID in the pic. The person I spoke to on the phone said the issue was that 1# my linked credit card had expired (which it did, yesterday) 2# they couldn't verify the name, and specifically asked if someone else had my name, which my dad does. 75% of my auctions have been delivered, probably 1/3 of those has left positive feedback. My eBay account is 100% and at least 4.8 stars on my seller ratings.
The lady I spoke to on the phone today kind of insuinated that the limit was just to verify who I was since I had done so much business in 4 weeks time and the issue would be resolved by end of day today. But, I just finished school and haven't got a job yet so this is literally all the money I have in the world, so Im freaking out. So, I humbly ask the immeasurable collective knowledge of reddit, am I screwed out of 6k for 6 months?
EDIT: This is the reason given on Paypal site ..
Your account access has been limited for the following reason(s): Dec 1, 2012: We need to confirm some of your account information.
EDIT 2: Limitation was resolved. They were looking at some out-of-eBay transactions I made with one of my Russian buyers, should have just stuck to the regular way I've done business.
