[Q] Does killing Fiend Hunter in response to its ETB trigger cause Fiend Hunter's target to simply blink?

I'd guess the three options would be the one mentioned in the title, the target not getting exiled at all, or perhaps the target gets permanently exiled. I'm leaning toward the result in the title.
