volunteering opportunities on long island

hey r/li - i'm a high school senior on the south shore looking to spend some time volunteering next year after the college process is done. specifically, i'd love to

• help set up computers in low-income neighborhoods, based on prior experiences
• socialize kittens/other low-risk forms of helping out with animals
• get involved with seniors
• whatever you've found to have a decent learning curve and not have high barriers to entry (immunizations, certification and training, extensive travel)

thanks so much, guys.
