Lost my save in saints row 3 when trying to create a second one, is there a way to get it back

I got most of the way through the game when a friend got it too, we decided to play multiplayer and I hit create a new character, thinking that it would just create a second save, instead it deleted my first save.

Anyone know how I might be able yo get it all back?
