Jack Frost(98) and Jack Frost(96) are the same man

The horror film of 96 is the true story, and the family film in 98 is what Jacks kid believes happened from stories his mom told him and his own wild imagination. Both Jacks died in car accidents, and the kids mom has just always told him his dad is a musician on the road instead of the truth he is on death row. The kid thinks his father is gonna show up for his hockey games, but is always disappointed. He also may have heard a conversation his mother was having with someone about his dad being transferred, and in his head he believes his dad is coming to take them on vacation. Then the accident happens and his father is killed.
