What does your meal planning routine look like?
So I've been trying this IF diet with a less than strict routine. A somewhat liaises faire IIFYM type style. Having seen that in a few blogs and posts I got the impression that it was a good way to go.
My progress isn't quite what I'd like it to be and the number of incidents of my going way off the rails (AKA: this does not fit my macros but tastes sooooo goooooooood)
I'd like to try something different and see if I might be better off doing a Sunday "Meal planning and food preparation" day. At the very least until I get the hang of what LG meals really look like. (at which point I will probably start winging it again)
So... one month of proper regimented LG to see how that works for me.
First I'd like to hear stories of other people's meal planning.
- do you do any?
- how much do you do? Strict / loose?
- favorite recipies?
- what does a typical week look like?
- got any "take-out-hacks"?
- any tips and tricks?
- go to food favorites for rest days? workout days?
I'm not sure how many people in r/leangains even do meal planning, Any interest in a weekly recurring LG thread for meal planning? Strong opinions against it? The secret trick to staying "on message" without any meal planning at all?
Specifically for me, I think having a tupperware at the office filled with the right food at the right time will make everything a lot less likely to go off the rails when I feel like I'm about to enter "shark mode" (the feeding frenzy where if it's food it goes in my face) ... spending one day a week getting it all together seems like a good idea (for now).
