Phone upgrade, from android

So I've been using Android for nearly two years now, and am getting an upgrade soon. I love almost everything about android, but windows phone has been intriguing to me as well, and I'm thinking of getting one. The only thing I'm wondering is, does it have as much freedom as android, or at least more than iOS?
How does it compare to these other 2 operating systems overall?
