Went to a Catholic Mass today

The deacon said that the coming of Jesus (apocalypse) may be near. His reasoning directly paralleled the gospel reading that said believers will know whenever Jesus plans to return because it will be seen in the sun, moon, and stars.

He then continued and said about Hurricane Sandy. He also said about how the world is constantly at war lately, such as in the Middle East. Also, solar flares indicate possible Jesus returns.

I couldn't believe he actually said this stuff, lol. Thoughts?
