Game-Breaking Bug rendering my game unplayable, Help (video explaining the problem in description) (PC)

Proablbly want to watch from 0:00 to 1:10 then 5:14 to the end.

The problem is that everytime I open the pause menu it tries to log into the ubisoft network, due to my router settings i cant change, (the ports are closed for pretty much all non-steam games). This however isnt the problem as it just simply says it cant connect and then opens the menu, however the menu is then somewhat broken as the crafting option doesnt work and if i try to the go back to the game it is broken and everything is whiter and frozen. I thought i could play this without opening the menu, however there is a tutorial mission that requires you to craft things, which opens the menu and breaks the game.

If you have got this far thanks. Just want to see if this is a isolated problem. Is there anywhere i can post this to get it noticed and fixed?
