Best thing that happened after giving up

So I was playing in my SinglePlayer world, and I died after trying to get a music disc. After I lost a diamond sword and a diamond pick, I was so mad. I was searching and just about gave up, but then I found my stuff. I was so relieved. So what is Reddit's experience's with this?
