Yesterday I sold $2k of my PM.
And I'm not even a bit disappointed or sad.
Got out of my gas saver 4 door sedan (2011 Focus) and with a little cash added walked away owning this beauty.
I have no doubts that without my holding physical silver I wouldn't have saved up the cash in order to do this. I happened to make a good deal on some items my Grandpa had and realized that was a good chunk of cash I could either buy my wife yet another firearm/rounds, more PM or finally trade my car and afford to add some cash to the deal in order to get the C5 that I've been eyeing at a local dealer. This is one of the perfect examples of having physical metals as an alternate to a traditional saving account. I wanted to share to make others realize that silver is more than just a long term thing. The greater majority of what I sold I paid ~$30/oz for and sold for $110ish under current spot (gave just under $2100 for $1990). I didn't do the exact math, but it appears to me that I managed to even profit a bit in the short time I held what I ended up selling. Even if I didn't, I still have plenty more and will continue to buy as I can afford to. Being able to cash out and give myself an early Christmas present has really blown my mind here.
TL;DR Now I can bitch about gas prices.
