Is it over if she mentions that she has a boyfriend within a conversation?

I don't mean the "I have a boyfriend" when you're trying to approach (to which I usually reply, "so do I, but I left him at home. What's your excuse?", what do you guys say?).

Anyways, I was at a party and I was talking to this girl. Eventually she mentioned that her boyfriend lives in Vancouver and that she's thinking of moving there soon. In the back of my mind I was like:

I pretty much conceded at this point because I think she wouldn't have mentioned it if she wanted a one night stand or something, right?

Had she not mentioned him I would have went for the number-close at a minimum for sure.
