What movie/book moments pack a huge emotional wallop the first time around; but fail to move you on subsequent read/watches? [obvious spoilers]

I'm just rewatching Fellowship and realized that the scene where Gandalf falls to the balrog never seems all that significant after you know that he's coming back. You no longer suffer the same sense of despair thinking that Gandalf is lost forever.

What movie/book moments were huge for you the first time around but are now significantly diminished due to foreknowledge?
