Time Machine and Lightroom Catalog sync issue.

Hey all,

I've recently purchased a new Macbook Pro and I am having trouble setting up time machine to backup my Lightroom catalog and photos.

I have a 1Tb external drive that is being used by time machine and have another external drive currently holding my Lightroom photos and catalog. What I want to accomplish is to edit my photos on the external drive and when done running time machine to back everything up but this is where the problem lies. Time Machine backs up everything including a full backup of my Lightroom Catalog and photos from the other external drive to the 1TB but it doesn't update the folders/file structure and is also missing the latest catalog backup(every time when I exit Lightroom, I backup the catalog).

It seems like its just copying the exact same thing from the old time machine back up and adding a new date/time stamp instead of actually looking into the external drive to see the changes. I just did a test by going into Lightroom and deleting a file, exiting Lightroom and backing up the catalog and running time machine. The file I deleted still remains in the new time machine backup and my new catalog backup is also not there.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
