What if Riot lowered prices on lesser played champions?

Say every Tuesday when the free-week champions switch, why not have riot make price changes to champions based on how much they get played? So champions like Karma and Heimerdinger will cost only 450ip or 1350ip which isn't very much IP, so people will be more willing to buy them and then with how much they will get played, they possibly could become more viable in the current meta. For Teemo who is currently the most played champion they could increase his price to over 6300ip to keep that bastard out of the league. Any thoughts on this?
