My story and the start of my journey.
I've lurked on noFap with my main account for probably a good half a year or so, but I've finally made an alternate account so I can participate with the discussion and share my experiences. My main reasons for starting noFap were because of ED and the reduced intensity of orgasms. I wanted to share my story so I could feel to myself like I'm properly committed to doing this and hopefully it will inspire some others too! I'm 20 years old now and have been fapping almost daily since I was 13; here's my story (it's a bit of an essay so maybe grab a coffee or a beer or something...):
When I first discovered fapping my orgasms were so intense and I could feel the sensation all throughout my body - even after the orgasm had ended, I had a warm glowing feeling that would last for a good 20 minutes. From sitting on the edge of my bed I could ejaculate a good 4-5ft across the room.
If I fap now I always anticipate a powerful orgasm with a full body feeling, yet I get a mild orgasm that I feel just in my penis; my ejaculation ends up almost just dribbling out of my penis I and always end up disappointed. I've tried edging for a while before ejaculation and this intensifies it a little but not a lot.
At probably around 16-17 I started to lose strength in my erection, I guessed it was because I was just used to fapping now and the novelty had started to wear off. I thought when it comes to sex I'll be more excited and my erection will just be there again as strong as it once was.
Nope. I started my first year of university when I was 18 and that's when I discovered I had ED. After about a month of uni I met a girl in a club and took her back to my room but I missed out on sex due to ED. We met up several times afterwards to try again and still no success. I blamed it on being too drunk, being nervous or any other possible reason but deep down I knew there was something wrong.
About 4 months later I meet another girl who ends up becoming my girlfriend. After a month of dating we slept together for the first time - I managed to raise about a 60% erection but it was just too soft so we gave up. Fast forward about a month and we try again with the first few attempts failing due to ED. After a couple weeks I finally manage to stay hard enough and we have sex, though I had to go so slow as to not hurt her so I came nowhere close to orgasm but I was making progress. As we went on I would come closer to orgasm but I would always lose my erection before I got near to finishing and I just end up finishing myself off each time.
After all the frustrated failed attempts, I ended up looking for a solution. I thought it could have been my diet, exercise or who knows what else. For a while I thought my kegel muscles were too weak so I did those exercises for a while which helped but still not enough to cure my ED. Eventually I stumbled upon reddit and shortly after found noFap. I started straight away and on my first attempt I reached 30 days. I could feel my ED going away and the 30 days was actually quite easy to achieve so I had a celebratory fap. I reset my counter without feeling bad and then I reached 30 days again rather easily. After that my ED had somewhat been cured but I couldn't test it out with my girlfriend since we couldn't meet up for a few weeks, so I started to fap to porn again. After a few weeks of fapping again my girlfriend and I had chance to try again but we still had no success and not too long after this we broke up, although it wasn't due to sex.
Feeling a bit depressed from my break up I started regularly fapping to porn every day again. Guilt of fapping kicked in and I went back to noFap but relapsed often, managing a 4 day streak at best.
Suddenly I realised I needed to stop messing around and start taking noFap seriously! I'm at university. I'm young. I have total freedom. I should be out socialising, meeting new people, dating girls and living my life! The countless wasted hours I've spent alone fapping is almost scary when I think what else I could have achieved in that time and all the extra time I could have spent studying or socialising!
My participation of noFap is no longer just to cure ED and to increase orgasm intensity but is a part of my journey to feel better about myself, to meet new people, to start dating more girls and to put more work into my studies. I'm hoping to gain confidence with talking to girls; better concentration and become a better person in general. This time I'm taking noFap more seriously than ever, with a goal of 150 days. No relapsing!
If you made it to the end then I thank you and I tip my hat to you! Hopefully this was an interesting read and can inspire others.
