What would be the consequences of raising everyone's I.Q. by 10? How would it change the world?

Let's say we had the opportunity to raise everyone's I.Q. by 10 points somehow, through implants or genetic enhancements, what do you think would happen?

Edit Thanks everyone for the lively discussion and responses.* I did indeed intend to ask "what would happen if everyone were 10% smarter" but instead of smartness I thought I.Q would be a pretty better form of reference.
