Ball python or boa constrictor?

I've wanted a snake for over ten years now, and I've finally decided that now is the time. As soon as I've saved enough money I'll be getting my first snake! Now in those years I've done quite a bit of research and decided that I want either a BP or a BC. Generally BPs are easier for beginners from what I've read -finicky eating aside- but I'd like a larger snake than that and the BC ticks that box. It's also (in my opinion of course) the more beautiful of the two and you don't see them quite as often. Now what I'm wondering is, should I go for the boa or stick with the easier ball? What are the pros and cons that I've missed, and can you tell me your personal experiences with these gorgeous animals?
