I'm doing a project for a Social Sciences class linking the Baltimore, MD area to the rest of the world. So world, what are fishing techniques in your area?

Here in Maryland we have a large bay. We have a major crabbing industry. As spring turns into summer, Stripped bass become huge game to catch for fun and food. Net fishing is limited in the area, mostly to just the Ocean.
