Help me find a good backpack!

I am a female, 5'5" looking for a solid backpack that I can take out on trips that vary in length - would love to be able to hold a weeks worth of gear. Anyone have any packs that they love? Or at least some advice on what I should be looking at as I compare bags. Although I have been backpacking, I have never bought a new pack before. Thanks!
