how to hide items

I have built an aboveground house and some farms open to the public using cheap materials easy to get materials. The most expensive thigns there are the seeds for the pumpkins, carrots, potatoes, mellons wheat etc. I want to keep a few stacks of these things hidden away just in case some one does not like public food and vandalizes it all. What is the best way to hide it from xrayers since chests are not an option.
