Salvia Divinorum and it's ego killing ability. What are your experiences?

I tried Salvia for the first time yesterday and am still coming to terms with how incredible it was. It was my first time doing hallucinogens and I hear that it is different to other's like shrooms and LSD. I took a large bowl-full of 20x and kept it in for about 15 seconds. Within a few moments of breathing out I was what only can be described as "tripping major balls".

I was with 4 of my friends and we were taking it one by one, with about 2:30 mins in-between, with one friend staying sober. We were in a huge space where they knocked down a large abandoned building, and you could see the whole city from where we sat.

So, the trip.

As I breathed out, the whole horizon converged into a line with a triangular dip in the centre, then came my loss of ego. It quickly got to the point where I had no idea I was human, and all I ever knew through my whole existence was that everything was a rotating prism. I came across past memories and saw them as realities, and I myself felt condensed, as I was wearing a scarf and hat. I cannot tell you how long this lasted, because as far as I was aware it was all I had ever known. What 'saved' me from this intense trip was seeing my one of my friend's face, and I proceeded to roll from my lying down position back into the reality I wanted to be in. I got up, walked down the hill and looked around at how surreal the world was. I was trying to speak but apparently I just sounded like a two year old. I kept trying to say is this the true reality, because I couldn't believe it was. From then on it just kinda faded away as it started to get dark and all the city lights gradually came on.

So what I have come to ask you today is what any of your experiences have been with salvia? And how did the ego-killing aspect affect you? Because I have never had an experience where I was unaware I am human, and it has really interested me.
