Help intalling bootcamp on Mac os x

I downloaded the windows support software onto a disk like it said but now when it tells me to partition space and install it tells me the installer disk can not be found. Is there something else i need or is my mac just being complicated. A simple explanation would be nice as i'm not very good with this kind of stuff
