simplest DateTime parser

I need to convert strings like "30/Nov/2012:06:20:38" into something I can do date arithmetic on. I checked and CPAN has a jillion DateTime:Format:: offerings. Would someone be kind enough to save me an afternoon of digging and point me to the simplest one that will get the job done? Thanks
