creating/altering patterns?

Hi all! i came to this subreddit to ask you all for advice. my hands are cold. i am a facial hair challenged teen who desperately wants an awesome moustache. I found these on ravelry: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=304275.0

my question, is how can i put these on gloves? should i try and learn DPNs? (only know/have circular). is there easy way of knitting gloves similar to the fingerstache (never knit gloves before)? can i recreate a pattern and insert this graph into the index fingers? Or is this a lost cause?
