Dog Is Limping

My Corgi is limping on his back left leg. I have figured out that his sore spot is where the vet put the IV in when he had his tooth pulled out...about a month ago, just a little over a month ago. He didn't limp after the surgery, so I'm thinking that it's just tender and he re-injured it from all the ice around, (he's not the most graceful dog). It's also the same leg that he had blood taken out of twoish weeks ago (just to check his liver/kidney functions). I'm giving him no walks for a week, just to see if it'll heal up, but is there anything I can do in the meantime? He's a very energetic dog and not having these walks is really starting to get to him. After a week of no walking, if it still persists, I am taking him to a vet. Thanks guys!
