Laid it down...
So, roads were slick (rained about 5 hours prior and never dried up, a lot of oils on the road, etc) and I was approaching an intersection doing about 35. There was a car about to make a left turn in front of me, light turns yellow and I realized that if I tried to beat the red I might end up plastered against the car. I slowly apply the brakes, like I have thousands of times and next thing I know my back end is sliding out. I THINK I grabbed too much front brakes, end up flying through my windscreen, inside of my right leg gets caught on the handlebars, slams handlebars into the gas tank and I go head over heels. Landed on my right shoulder/head.

Once I got up I made sure I had all my fingers and got my bike out of the road, I ended up about 15 feet in front of my bike. Sore shoulder, hips, groin. I was wearing my jacket (Which is in pristine condition!) but I still got a decent scrape on my elbow, I assume it was a rug burn from the inside of the jacket. Inside of right leg obviously got caught up on the handlebars, I have two small gouges that are exactly the distance of the handlebar to brake lever. Gloves are torn up but hands are perfectly fine.
Damage to the bike.. dented gas tank, front farings are cracked in three pieces, center stand dented and punctured left exhaust, windscreen ripped off, left turn signal is dead, bar ends scratched, clutch lever bent, choke lever ripped off. Other than that, it will still start, as long as it isn't too cold... I plan on turning it into a streetfighter.
Moral of the story? Wear your gear and be extra careful if the roads are slick. I would be in MUCH worse shape if I didn't have that stuff on. Be safe out there reddit.
TLDR: Flew over my bike, kind of sore and bruised, bike needs some work but runs, wear your gear if you don't want to get fucked up.
