A girl that likes me - and i like has given up on love and is scared of hurting or being hurt. How do i convince her?

Hi all, simply put we both like each other and we'd like to date each other.

But yesterday she let it all out and told me shes afraid to date because she doesn't want to hurt me and she doesn't want to get hurt. She says that shes given up on love and doesn't want to be with anyone ever again.

How can i convince her that being in love is worth it?
