Does anyone actually use onion soup mix to make onion soup?

So, we were trying to decide on a quick meal. The wife suggested we have onion soup and I'm thinking, we don't have the time or the ingredients. Then she pulls out a package of onion soup mix, something we always have on hand for various dip and crock pot recipes. I thought it was wild that I have never actually used our even thought of using onion soup mix to make onion soup.
