Will inherit some $, want some advice on how to handle it when time comes.

So, a couple of months back, I found out that my grandmother, would be leaving me her inheritance. She's well past 90 but still in good shape; so this could still be a few years realistically but I want to know what to do with it when the time comes.

Essentially I'll be getting something to the tune of 1.5 mil and I'd just like some advice or maybe even just some things to read about managing such a large sum, instead of just doing something like just adding a few dollars each paycheck like a lot of advice.

I know that currently she has about 800k liquid invested into a lot of different stocks/mutual funds/etc and quite a lot of it pays dividends.
