I've been on AMD forever, and my next build is coming up soon. Would an intel processor benefit me more?

Basically come march I'm probably getting a new mobo, new ram, and a new processor. I'm looking at

I'm currently running a Phenom II 965 x4 @ 3.8ghz, so if I wanted I could even just skip the processor for awhile and use that new mobo and ram. However, I'm wondering if an intel processor would yield any better performance in gaming, which is all I really use my desktop for. Also I'm running Windows 8. So, yeah, wat do?
