Why did you write your NaNoWriMo?
I'm working on a book which is a roman a clef (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_à_clef), more or less. It takes the people who've been in my life and some really painful situations and translates them to a fantasy world. One of the last things someone told me before exiting my life, when I pleaded them to stay but they had "other loyalties", is "Tell them a story. Show them a photograph." So, after getting horrible depressed and angsty for a long time, I wrote this story to get back at his heartless dismissal of our friendship. My dream is to finish this book, publish it on Lulu.com and send them a copy with a dedicated that reads "To {name ommitted}, I took your advice and wrote a story. This one has a better ending. Too bad we couldn't have had this ending in real life" or something like that.
Incidentally, writing from various viewpoints regarding the different situations has also helped me immensely in seeing the situation as other people saw it. Very good therapy and a lot of forgiveness in the end.
So... why did you write your NaNoWriMo this year? What future goals do you have for it.
