I was removed as a moderator for r/mcservers unjustly, so I am going to bitch about it here...

Some of you probably hate r/mcservers and all of its rules, but before we had any rules (which were voted on by the community, spinnermaster has the surveymonkey polls to prove it), it was just a shit show of spam post with no quality information about what server you were joining, a total lack of professionalism. I personally went to r/mcservers before starting ::DELTA::, seeking a mature 18 plus server to play on, I found peaced.fr and it closed, inspiring me to open my server.

I asked to become a moderator for r/mcservers after I began to advertise there and notice how many dead or spam post there were, and that I was getting lost in a sea of shit. My entire goal was to clean up r/mcservers and make it a good place to post a server, and hopefully to some degree of success. I added some CSS (mostly spinnermaster) and tried to cultivate a community beyond just advertisement post. Everything you see there was the work of myself or spinnermaster. We helped grow the community by over 2000 subscribers in a few short months.

All of this happened over the summer months, while the creator was absent completely. He came back several months later, directly after I had an incident with a moderator I hired griefing a server (he was immediately removed by me, as soon as this happened). He got really pissed talking about how the sub had gone to shit and tried to vote me off (but I had also hired all of the other moderators at the time), with no success. I had improved upon the sub so much (sidebar, rules, css, etc.), and spinnermaster (who i hired) also put a TON of work into the sub (including getting a automoderator setup, and setting up a nice script to respond to users who posed incorrectly). The creator did not like the changes in his absence.

Several months went by, and I was told not to hire any help or more moderators, I was told not to make any further changes at all with out his approval. The sub reddit went back to static, and has not evolved to meet users needs or sugestions since the summer. The response script was removed/not working, no moderation of new post was to be done. The creator (according to all logs available) has not done anything at all to help moderate the sub, in fact, he openly admitted and instructed moderators not to moderate post, and to only answer mod mail.

The creator has not been involved in r/mcservers for over a year, spinnermaster and I have done everything for r/mcservers to make it what it is today. He recently sent a message to the mods reminding us, that he is not around to do any moderation but will not be stepping down, and that he will pop in to "solve problems with moderators" when he can.

u/Ienpw_III removed me stating the moderators had voted:

All three of the mods that have been here longer than you are in agreement.

A lie, spinnermaster was never asked to vote, instead was sent a pm:

After discussion with ssbbnitewing I've decided to remove austindkelly as a mod. His lack of professionalism, propensity for angriness, and power-centric view of moderator status make him an unsuitable candidate and I think we'll have a lot fewer headaches now that he's gone. Now, I don't entirely recall what your opinion of him is. If you're okay with this, then that's great. If not, we can talk about it, but I'd ask you to refrain from re-adding him. Ien

I am really pissed off that I was removed since I did about 80% of moderation there (mostly removing spam post). I doubt this belongs here, but I really needed to vent. This creator does absolutly nothing and refuses to allow progress, simply closing off r/mcservers to him and his buddy, allowing it to once again become over run with bullshit spam post.

okay, thanks for letting me rant about it.

I will let you know when the new sub is ready for people that want a good place to advertise.

EDIT: who the fuck uses words like 'power-centric' in real life?
