Network Admin here wanting a change but I think I'm lacking skills.
I don't have a 4 year degree and 90% of positions are asking for one in this area. I do have a 2 year degree in CS, 9 years network administrator experience over 10 servers and 50 employees, and a second 2 year degree that is almost complete in management.
I'm just worried that I won't be taken seriously when I send in my resume and if I did magically land a job that I won't be able to keep it because I feel like my knowledge is falling behind. What can I do to turn this around so that I feel like I'd be able to land a job and keep it?
I don't have experience in virtualization and won't be given the chance by my current employer to get any. I only know windows and have some experience on linux workstations from playing around.
Would posting my resume here help with deciding were I'm lacking skill?
