Wireless hard drive enclosures?

Does anyone have any experience with these? I am getting a tablet soon (convertible, as soon as they hit the market!) and want to take the hard drives from my PC and use them as a personal cloud to store movies and music that I can then access wirelessly from my tablet, phone or TV. Would it be possible to hook up a hard drive enclosure to the wireless router and be able to access it that way if I can't find a reliable or fast wireless external enclosure?
