I have a Netgear DGND3300 router connected to my ps3. I constantly get timed out from online games.

My ps3 is connected to my router by an ethernet cable. A couple times every hour I time out of matches in any game online. I don't get completely disconnected from the internet, I still remain signed in on PSN but it's like my connection gets really really weak for a few seconds. I constantly have to rejoin my friends matches on various multiplayer games.

What should I do? Do you think opening a port on my router specifically for the ps3 would help?
