Is there any way I can remove a tiny skin colored mole by using a wart remover?

I want as little scarring as possible and a dermatologist said she wouldnt remove it and that I would need to go to a plastic surgeon to remove it. That seems expensive and I was wondering if I can use something like Compound W Wart remover even though it says do not use on moles.
