Suggestions on number of monitors and setup of monitors for certain use case

Uses for battle station:

• Gaming
• Vsphere clients (virtual machines)
• Most of the Microsoft suite
• Programming

I'm thinking 4 screens. A middle big screen then two smaller screen on each side. Then a small TV monitor above the big monitor for television. (I like to have a TV on while working)

Suggestions? Do you do similar work, what is your setup?

Note: This is a hypothetical setup, so think money is no object. I do not have the money for this setup. unemployed =(
