Could I be able to contest my grade in this situation?

One of my professors has not given a single assignment back since very early September. My classmates and I have been waiting on 3 more essays to be graded and he has promised to give them back to us for weeks and we haven't received a single one yet! My final has been moved to this upcoming Wednesday and I have absolutely no idea what my grade is in his class. I feel uneasy going into the final without knowing how I did on the previous assignments. I have 0 idea of how I did. So would I be able to contest my grade in his class? I find it unfair for my classmates and myself.
