Assistance - No display
I built a pc at the beginning of July. Specs are as follows:
- ASUS M5A97 motherboard
- AMD Phenom II X4 Processor
- EVGA GTX280 (old GPU replaced with s GTX560ti in sept)
- Corsair TX650 650 watt PSU
- G.Skill DDR3 ram
About 2 months later the gtx280 died on me, I figured since it was an old card maybe it was just at the end of its life. I ordered the GTX560 and had no issues until the beginning of last month. Once again I had no display. The computer then sat for about 2 weeks due to busy work schedule. Last weekend I swapped the PCI slot the GPU was in and the computer then worked fine until last night. Now once again I have to display.
- Ive tested the monitor and know its not the issue
- During the last week my rig worked I watched the GPU temp and it idled around 37c and peaked around 61c during heavy usage.
- the mobo does not have an integrated graphics card
I think its a mobo issue but obviously I want to test whatever I can before I tear my rig apart and lose my ability to game for a month while I RMA it.
Thanks in advance any advice or opinions are welcome.
