I need help with understanding exchange rates and if the "Amazon Hack" is possible with airline tickets.

Recently I have been looking for flights abroad from the States. Now I remember someone Posting on r/LifeProTips about an "amazon Hack" where you can purchase items at a cheaper rate just by changing your language or location online.

Now, I have attempted this type of strategy with airline sites like www.skyscanner.net; With this type of Result.

It looks confusing to me, as I can't understand why the American Price, for the exact same plane ticket, is $200 more than the Exchange Rate between the Euro and the USD. Can someone help me understand this?

Also, can I actually Purchase a ticket for the Euro Exchange rate, similar to that of the "amazon hack?" Or would that cause more confusion when the purchase is complete?

TL;DR

Wants to Buy a cheap Plane ticket out of the states. Found an even lower price just by changing the nationality. Want to purchase this way, but confused how that would work.

Also, Why the Fuck is America $200 more?!
