Question about Reddit Gold

Okay so I went to see something I had "liked" and in my trophy case was the Reddit Gold icon and under it, it said November 2012. Above the case it says I have 18 days left of Reddit Gold.

I haven't bought Reddit Gold. I did hit my 2 year mark, but I missed my cake day of which I am not sure what day that actually is....do you get Reddit Gold free at 2 years? If someone bought it for me, how can I thank them?

How do I access all the benefits it says I have?

Insight would be appreciated!
